Novel regional craftsmanship and design nuggets are on show at the Institut National des Métiers d'Art Gallery as part of the Parcours Design et Métiers d'art. Within the framework of the Révélations Biennale, the Parcours is an ode to the creativity of artisans and their compelling contribution to innovation. A prime example is sculptor Jérémy Gobé’s Corail Artefact installation, which explores how bobbin lace fabricated by SCOP Fontanille in the Puy-en-Velay region could save coral reefs. These combinations of local traditions with new economic horizons lie at the very root of French heritage.
