The Michelangelo Foundation receives the Hermes Prize for Innovation in Paris on 18 June

The theme of this year’s “Hermes Awards for Innovation” event is “Excellency in European Innovation with Global Impact”. Its prestigious awards honour organizations which combine the highest degree of both innovation and humanism. Inspired by the fundamental values of the Renaissance, they are based on a rigorous multi-criteria analysis of each recipient’s commitment to the improvement of the human condition, the relationship between humans, the future of cities, and to sustainable development.
The Michelangelo Foundation for Creativity and Craftsmanship was awarded a prize for its promotion of European master craftsmanship on a global scale, via activities such as the “Homo Faber – creating a more human future” exhibition. Held in 2018, it was recognized as the most beautiful exhibition worldwide. The next edition is scheduled for 2020.
