The German Craft Council (Meisterrat) aims to stimulate debate between design, craftsmanship, industry and the public on the aesthetic and social quality of our living environment. A member organisation for the Berlin-Brandenburg region, it brings together small and medium sized manufacturers who have a focus on manual and creative work and a commitment to sustainable production. Through networking events, publications, education and tourism activities, the German Craft Council aims to strengthen the craft sector and raise awareness of its social relevance, improve the economic situation for craftspeople, highlight rare or forgotten crafts and market the region as a crafts destination
