Founded as a museum in 1973, Craft Contemporary seeks to harness the potential of craft to educate, captivate, provoke, and empower. With a special focus on contemporary art made using craft techniques, the museum hosts exhibitions featuring established and emerging artists, craftspeople and designers. Craft Contemporary complements these with educational programmes and hands-on workshops led by professional artists, cultivating an environment for people in Los Angeles to deepen their relationship to creativity, and one another.
