From 22 March to 31 May 2023, the Castillo de San Jorge in Sevilla will host a group exhibition entitled "Masters of the Future. Crafts and Design in Europe", promoted by Seville City Office and coordinated by the Contemporary Association of Arts and Crafts, with the support of the Michelangelo Foundation for Creativity and Craftmanship.
The exhibition curated by Jean Blanchaert, Irina Eschenazi (assistant curator) and Ramón Vergara (assistant curator in Spain), will combine a selection of contemporary European crafts with works created by Sevillian and Andalusian artists and craftsmen in a space conceived by the architect and designer Pablo Millán.
"Next of Europe " was one of the 15 exhibitions of "Homo Faber: crafting a more human future", the space, curated by Jean Blanchaert, presented a selection of functional and decorative objects made by Europe's best master craftsmen.
"Masters of the Future. Crafts and Design in Europe" is inspired by « Next of Europe », and will showcase a total of 50 works that explore and exemplify the notion of the Contemporary Master Craftsmanship. The excellence of Sevillian and Andalusian savoir-faire will be represented in a selection of international and Spanish artisans.
