Collaboration lies at the heart of what we do, so we actively seek like-minded individuals, schools and institutions that share our values and identify with our mission. Our growing network of more than 100 international members comprises leading applied arts schools from Europe and beyond, major design museums, and national institutions that work to champion craftsmanship. They help us select master artisans and young talents to play an active part in our projects. In return we support members’ activities and offer them the chance to meet, encouraging exchange and fostering a sense of community.
Discover our actions with the networkOur network is key to what we do. By establishing relationships with likeminded organisations, we create a solid foundation for our work. We rely on our network members to recommend exceptional artisans in their regions to take part in our projects, and we develop tools to help them identify those who meet our criteria of excellence. We boost the visibility of recommended artisans through events, projects and communication activities. We also draw on our members’ expertise to select young talents for our projects. We support member activities if they are in line with our aims, and our members do the same for us.
Our activities are designed to promote and support excellence in craftsmanship and those who share our aims. We only support projects that fall within this remit and promote organisations or artisans who fulfil our criteria for excellence. We focus our communication activities on events and organisations that equate to our definition of master craftsmanship and do not communicate more widely on the subject. We only give financial support to projects of which we are a partner, and to individuals and organisations that are in line with our mission. We cannot provide funding or grants.
