




On the premises of the Fine Crafts Association of Vilnius (Viliaus Dailiųjų Amatų Asociacija), Lithuania, the Old Crafts Workshop is a 'live museum' in which craftsmen and women work on site, showcasing skills including bookbinding, papermaking and paper marbling, patchwork, spinning, weaving, basketweaving, bone work, leather processing, stained glass making and glass bead making. A permanent exhibition displays artisan tools and products and presents the history of craftsmanship in Vilnius, as well as examples of contemporary crafts in Lithuania and the wider Baltic region. It also offers a range of educational activities, tours and vocational courses, and holds lectures about traditional and contemporary craftsmanship. The museum is part of the activity of the Fine Crafts Association of Vilnius, which supports and promotes craftsmanship in the Lithuanian capital.
